DNC 2012
I hate traffic. I mean really, who likes it? Pop in some great music and maybe pacify me with an ice cream cone of Goliath proportions and maybe it becomes bearable but other than that, I try to avoid it at all costs. This week, it was unavoidable but with the great influx of traffic and people in my city, the level of excitement rose and became contagious, convincing me to venture out. Last night, I went to see it all for myself.
Fueling up to battle the crowds:
Dessert: my bestie brought back pastries from Manhattan for me (a variety of biscotti studded with dark chocolate, apricots, or figs).
The prominent police presence.
Chris Matthews, doin’ his thing.
The police were barking as loudly as the dogs were, everything was locked down, and massive throngs of people made the heat even hotter but all in all, I’m glad I went. I mean, the President is literally staying 10 minutes down the road from my house!!
I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend!
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.^

Exciting stuff! (referring to both the president being only minutes away from your house and that awesome dinner photo)
I’m sure the folks in Florida felt the same way during last week’s RNC 2012.
If either the DNC or the RNC were in new york I would avoid it at all costs! This city already has enough traffic as it is!
I despise traffic as well, but thank you for braving the crowds. I feel quite far away from it all, so it was nice to be taken straight to the heart of the action!
Good times

I love the concept–food for psyching up for traffic!
An awesome post, I just passed this onto a fellow worker who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me lunch because I found it for him smile.. So let me reword that: Thanks for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is extremely helpful for me. Big thumb up for this post!
Lol, thanks!
