Weekend Bits
Breakfast:
Don’t judge (I aged the dough for 2 days and was happy with the results)-so much so that I had them for breakfast, lol.
Christmas party yummies #Imonlyhereforthefood The program specifically stated that there would be a visit from Santa but alas, he was no where to be found
The soprano from The Magic Flute was even there to regale us with opera …+ dinner = ftw!
Going along with the theme of Cheesecake + Cake, a festive rosy strawberry cheesecake cake + twinkling Christmas lights.
Best part of my weekend? Baby brother is home!!! Nothing like a live intimate concert to celebrate the holidays
Boricha (Korean barley tea) to keep warm, muhl-Kimchi, Mackerel, omurice, and roasted laver for dinner.
Dessert!
Dinner at Ruth’s Chris…
I have to say, I was rather underwhelmed. My salad was fluffed with a ton of iceberg underneath, my spinach drowning in a pool of grease, and my filet under seasoned. It’s ok though, I baked enough cookies to last me ’til tomorrow (or tonight, depending on how greedy my stomach gets).
Love and lost Santa,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

Angela…sounds like you had a FABULOUS weekend! So nice for you to have your brother home! Lots of good eats for you…but those cookies look fabulous and I think very fitting for breakfast! : )
Nothing wrong with cookies for breakfast! I guess that makes you the Squishy Cookie Monster? Love omurice – the ultimate comfort food.
Looks like a very delicious post!
First of all I have to say I love the name of our blog! I love the word “squishy” I found you from Uru’s guest post and loved your chestnut bread.
I hear you about steakhouse dinners..esp expensive steakhouse, I am always underwhelmed. Maybe because they are chains? At least you had plenty of cookies as back up.
Nazneen
I typically stay away from chains and I should’ve listened to myself, lol. Thanks for visiting with me, Nazneen. Uru is awesome!
very! =)
I agree.
I had a half a second of hesitation then shrugged and continued to devour, lol.
That strawberry cheesecake cake looks amazing! What better way to lighten up a cheesecake than to combine it with cake. Pretty Christmas lights… I always love seeing trees with a ridiculous number of lights on them. Have a wonderful day!
I hope you and your pretty babies had a great weekend!
Making me hungry post!! Everything is delectable
i almost licked my computer screen. YUMMMMMM!
lol, Unni!
=)
Cookies for breakfast? I call that holiday spirit.
I do not judge when cookies for breakfast is totally normal
lol, good to know I’m not alone =)
I wont judge you….I’m also a cookie for breakfast kind of gal! Looks like it was a weekend full of treats Angie!!!

What a fun weekend! Bummer about the Santa no-show though
i can’t think of anything better than cookies and sweets to start the day.. or any time of the day.. sinful or not ^^ love your green and red m&m cookies ~ it’s very christmassy ^^
Bummer about Ruth Chris. I’ve only eaten there twice but both times were wonderful dining experiences, and this coming from someone who could take or leave meat. At least you had great desserts!
What a delicious time you’ve had! And I’ve got a random question but when we were in Hawaii we saw Ruth’s Chris. What is with the punctuation there? Have I missed something?
From what our waiter told us, it belongs to a lady named Ruth. She took over an existing restaurant?
better than fatty spirit, hahahaha
All the food looks so colorful and delicious Angie!!OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH cookies!!!! yumm!!!Lol.
I know you are so happy to have your brother home for Christmas Angie! I hope you and your family have a wonderful time together.
Santa is not lost. I saw him at a restaurant yesterday. He was going to take a doggy bag to Rudolph he told us.Lol.
Have a wonderful week Angie!
Love.
Les.
yeeeah, I was pretty sad about Santa being absent but there was an unlimited shrimp buffet so I was quickly consoled, hahaha
I don’t typically take to chains but figured I would give it a try. I find mom/pop spots to be the most rewarding but I won’t not entertain the idea that maybe I went on a bad day either.
Thanks, Hui!!
I was like a kid, excitedly anticipating his arrival and was crestfallen when he was a no show, haha
lol, I’m glad to hear it!
Hi Angie, the M & M cookies look awesome.Guess hard to stop munching. LOL
The rest of the spread look scrumptious. Thanks for sharing the pictures, I feast with my eyes.
Have a fabulous week ahead.
I hope you’re enjoying your week too, love!
The cookies look so delicious! I love Mackerel, it is such a great fish to eat.
It’s one of my favorites.
Mmmm cookies!!!!
The cookie monster is my boyfriend =)
Cookies for breakfast? Nothing wrong with that I’m glad you were able to spend time with your brother over the holiday, I know you were happy to have him home. So sorry you didn’t get your visit from Santa at the Christmas Party. I’ve often joked around with the idea of coloring my beard white and wearing a Hawiian shirt to go as ‘Santa on vacation’ for Halloween. If you’re ever in a pinch I may be able to stand in for him. ~.^
Time for me to get dinner going and feed these kids.
Thanks for treating us with your weekend^^
Love and Prayers,
-Paul
I think I just want everything for breakfast. I wake up SO freaking hungry! =) I’ll remember that next year =)
