Weekend Bits
Drizzled over with honey from Skinny J Farms {crêpe recipe here}
Fish & Chips and Crème brûlée {hooray–haha}!
Potato Salad to take to a night time bbq…
to join chicken and other veggies in the mix. There was also some flourless chocolate mousse cake involved that I may or may not have had 2 slices of.
Weekend errands had me whizzing through the streets but traffic forced me to slow down and catch a glimpse of 2 boys gathering Wisteria {this scene reminds me of Moonrise Kingdom}
Me & J planted peppers, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, herbs and flowers…this being the aftermath. There was something so therapeutic about my fingers digging where grubs and worms led the way and I could nestle a baby plant like a child into the wet ground to pat and tuck in for the season. I’m so excited to see them grow, it’s much like a kid on Christmas morning…for the joy of all the edibles that will sprout soon!
My newest feature in our city paper.
I can’t wait to see what today will bring {hope you’re as excited for brand new days–tomorrow is always a brand new chance, too}
Love always,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~
‹ Hello, Spring! Honey Cornbread ›
Congrats on the write-up!!
Thanks so much, Alex!
Nice picture of you and your Mom Angie!Interesting and yummy pictures above..
So sad but true. I learned in my early teens decades ago Angie. More people than we realize need help but do not realize it or if they do do not accept love or help.. I see more with this spirit on the increase.I have seen some even in my family that this attitude, spirit and life style of not reaching out to people nor allowing others to reach out to them, help and love them lead to their death….
I hope this day brings you much , joy, love, wisdom , and revelation Angie. God bless you. Keep doing what you know in your heart is right.
Love.
Les.
What a fantastic weekend with an awesome write up
Great job!
Cheers

I think it’s so wonderful that you take time to pack lunches for the less fortunate! I used to volunteer in the homeless ministry back at my church in Miami.
And I wish I had a yard to grow some veggies!! I’ve been wanting my own little garden for some time now! Cute nails btw

Dear Angela,
Firstly, your kindness to people in need is so commendable. I can imagine how grateful they are to have homemade sandwiches to fill starving stomachs.
Love those nailpolish and as you plant for beautiful spring we are heading into autumn here, so I’m thinking autumn stews. You and your mum are absolulely gorgeous.
Angie you are an angel! We all should be motivated and inspired by your kindness to give more to those in need. Congrats on the feature, I am really proud of you!
