Donna’s Shrimp Dip

For our Friendsmas, we were all asked to bring appetizers.  My wonderful friend Donna brought her shrimp dip and though it was something I’d never had before, I really enjoyed it and the combination just made so much sense that we’ve made it at home a couple times since.  I can personally vouch that both brie and goat cheese are also good options.

This would be a great last minute add-on to a New Years Eve celebration as it only takes 5 minutes to assemble, is great to share, isn’t fussy to transport and shines in its simplicity. Oh, and did I mention it’s completely no cook?

I like mine with extra horseradish for a ZIP!  If you’re feeling particularly industrious, you could definitely top with a quick shrimp scampi instead and garnish with chives or green onions but really, you’re all set to go from here.  Just serve with crackers and enjoy.  Thanks, Donna!

HEY! i know this recipe! we used to do all the time for Christmas. but we used to get these little glass jars with metal lids that had tiny shrimp with cocktail sauce already in them. then we just dump them on the mashed up cream cheese block and eat on a ritz! this takes me back 25 years!

I would probably love having those tiny glasses in my collection. I’m a minimalist but my obsession with glass jars doesn’t know that, haha.
