Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2018
I first introduced raw Manuka Honey to my mother a few years ago and she loved how potent and multi-purpose it was. On one particular girls weekend, we used it as a facial scrub with pink salt, as a face mask with raw cacao and put it in our Korean roasted barley tea. It’s not only naturally antimicrobial/antibacterial, full of antioxidants and naturally moisturizing making it excellent for skin care, it makes a great fire cider. I like to pair something like this with her favorite tea, chocolates, essential oils and some rose water spray for a complete spa package.
Hosting an all out brunch bar of her favorite foods. Think french toast/pancake bar, fresh fruit bar, veggie bar, omelette bar…you get the idea. I did this one year and lit fairy lights and candles everywhere with vases of varying heights filled with my mother’s favorite flowers. I did all of the cooking and cleaning and she said it was one of her favorite mother’s day gifts of all time.
This trio of Pacifica’s roll on perfume is 100% cruelty free and comes in a long lasting, light weight formula. The variety gives your mom choices and the option to blend fragrances if she so desires. I like them because they’re convenient, easy to take with you and smell light and sweet versus heavy and musky which neither me or my mother are a fan of.
If you’re looking for a splurge and something your mother would probably never get herself, these high-end Diptyque candles definitely evoke sophistication and elegance.
If more of a DIY approach is your thing then you’re in luck with more than a dozen of my handmade gifts from whipped body butters to salves.
