If you’ve been following my instagram, you know that I’ve found my other soul mate, meditation.  It took me awhile to really appreciate its value but when I finally did, I was instantly hooked.  If you’re finding it difficult to focus during meditation, I recommend doing so with binaural beats which can have a calming influence on your brain.  For a more reinforced effort, begin your meditation with yoga nidra then work your way up to meditating with the binaural beats.

My birthday is just around the corner (September 17) and as an early birthday present, my girlfriend gifted me with this all natural skin care set which I am absolutely loving.  If you know me, I typically DIY all of my own products so it’s been such a nice treat.

My favorite so far has been the Vitamin C Serum.  When I was researching and recipe testing to bring you guys a vitamin c serum, it proved to be difficult, if not impossible to ensure it had a proper ph and stabilization.  After discussing this further with one of my chemist friends, I decided that rather than bring you an inferior product, I would formulate my anti-aging serum for you instead.  This is why a professionally formulated vitamin c serum is essential and this one is reinforced with hyaluronic acid, making it ideal for mature skin with a focus on antioxidants and the ability to stimulate collagen and brighten your skin.  I’ve only used it for 2 weeks now and I can already tell a difference.

My girlfriend included Tamanu Oil in my gift basket because it virtually cleared up her eczema.  Though I don’t have experience with this, I can attest to it being an incredible facial oil for massage after the Dead Sea Mud Mask.  It has a pretty distinct scent so I’ve been adding a few drops of lavender to it and it works like a dream.  At night, I’ve been using the Retinol Moisturizer and my skin literally feels like I’ve just gone to the spa.

Speaking of birthdays, I can’t decide between my epic black bean brownie or my cashew cheesecake- both of which are featured in my new ebook, Beginner Vegan and are refined sugar free, gluten free and 100% plant based to boot.  One is intense chocolate with oozing bits of melting chocolate while the other is cool, creamy and rich.  One is a sublime cheesecake experience while the other is almost like warm fudge, without the hint of any beans.  Decisions, decisions.
