The Bahamas, Bites & Sights
I literally ate my way through this trip!
We made friends with a local named Martin who whipped us up a batch of his incredible conch fritters (with fresh conch that was literally caught off his back deck)!
Fresh and delicious conch salad! As I watched the fish monger assemble it, I made a mental note to recreate it at home with conch, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, salt, pepper, lime and orange juice just as he did.
After swimming, I was craving some coconut water. Before I could reach the bar, I actually found this on the beach and a nice gentleman cracked it open for me–what luck!
One very happy {and stuffed} Squishy Monster ^.^
The open air market we stumbled upon. A little boy bundling together dried conch {as you can see, conch is very popular there and this was something I wish I could’ve brought back home with me}
And what would you know? I actually had time to read! #502 of the best reasons why vacations are awesome {and much needed}!
Goodbye Nassau & Freeport! ‘Til we meet again
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

This post brings new meaning to eating your way through your vacation, Angela. The food looks so festive and bright. I must ask myself though, how does she stay so trim and fit with an appetite like that, lol!
Thank you so much for letting us tag along. I only wish we would have been able to have a few conch nibbles…
