A Happy Mother’s Day
As far as celebrations go, last night’s mother’s day supper couldn’t have been more perfect. We dined al fresco, just as dusk began to settle in, surrounded by good food, our loved ones, and candlelight. On the menu: J’s grilled lobster and filets, grilled flatbreads and corn, bacon wrapped jalapeños, a fruit bouquet, raspberry lemon cake, and white stone fruit sangria, though not all are pictured because sometimes it’s more important to enjoy these moments in life more than it is to document them.
Throughout supper, I caught glimpses of my daddy stroking my mama’s arm and cracking into her lobster for her. A mild summer drift and laughter swirled around me and I couldn’t have felt more blessed. Blessed to have such an amazing woman to call my mother and to be in the company of such amazing individuals. I love you so much mama squishy!
I hope that you all had a lovely mother’s day, in daddy’s words “everyday should be mother’s day!”
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

Oh you had a great mother’s Day celebration with your family. And al fresco sounds nice. We had post meal drinks on the balcony, only 2nd day warm enough to do so.
Looks like you and your family had a lovely celebration! Yes, it’s true that it’s more important to enjoy life in the moment than to document them.
May you and yours be richly blessed!
