St. Croix Farmer’s Market at Southgate

Southgate Farmer’s Market in St. Croix has been around for more than a decade.  They feature local honey, gallons of coconut water, senepol beef jerky, kimchi, farm fresh eggs, Crucian fruits, plants and more every Saturday.  To get there, head east on east end road and the market will be on the right hand side just before the T intersection.

The following are some images that my husband captured.

Toni CariBEE with her beautiful spread of fresh Crucian honey {she harvests herself!} along with soaps, jams, pickles and more.

Farmer Aberra sells fruit you can’t find anywhere else on island and he’ll crack open fresh coconuts for you right there.

Grantley at GLG Farms has some of the fresh produce around.  His cucumbers are always sweet and juicy.

Pat has some beautiful, exotic plants for you.

They’re there every Saturday and you’ll never know what you’ll find.  If you’re on island, make sure to give them a visit and tell them hello for me!
