Weekend Bits
A bon voyage dinner of summer salad with spinach, goat cheese, toasted walnuts, strawberries and lemon vinaigrette, bruschetta, and lasagna {Hi, Daddy}!
The fudge meant for ice cream {not into my mouth by the spoonful}
Breakfast the next day. These chubby babies are studded with toasted coconut, toasted walnuts, carrots, apples/applesauce, raisins, and spices.
…and I ate every last bit + stole a bunch of fries
A super spicy dinner of yum.
and dessert my bff brought over after we baked cookies, who also saved me from all my computer woes. You are the freaking bestest best. That is all.
Fluffy, cinnamon scented, icing dripped clouds for breakfast the next day from my absolute favorite bakery.
Dinner later that night
and you can’t forget about the donuts! Why yes, I did have a glazed, chocolate glazed, and jelly filled.
The exit to the antique shop though now, I’ve decided that everything in my possession that is “old” shall now be deemed “vintage.” e.g. my old school dell that finally crapped out on me…I kid {sort of}
Who used to watch The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show? {This girl}!
and speaking of old school, I fondly remember watching episodes accompanied by…
Remember these? Ah, to be a child again and your biggest concerns regarding whether or not you’d have enough cream for the cookie stragglers.
I found these on my walk. Don’t you just love the vibrance of Spring?
I hope y’all had an amazing weekend too!
Love,
Your Squishy Monster ^.~

That Morning Glory muffin sounds PERFECT!
your weekend is making my weekends feel horribly boring! anyway, just wanted to drop by to say a quick thanks for the sweet comment you left for me before all the madness at school started. I;m back, phew, alive! x
I’m glad you’re back, Shuhan. Your food makes weekends incredibly exciting, I bet!
Thanks, Bianca!
=)
What in the world is a Japanese Cotton Cheesecake ? It looks delicious!
It’s got the softest taste of cheesecake but the fluffy appeal of a chiffon or sponge cake. It’s not too sweet and melts in your mouth.
Meeee too. I want to enter a Japanese cotton cheesecake eating contest! =)
We neeeed to have an ice cream party!
After gorging myself all weekend, I definitely have to bc now I’m going through withdrawal =)
I need-want-have to have it for breakfast this weekend again!
Thanks for noticing, Chef!
I feel like I ate them too fast and so I’ve decided another trip is in order =)
love food, LOVE free food =)
It’s like soft and fluffy steamed cheesecake. Instead of being “wet,” it’s melt in your mouth (think airy cheesecake) half chiffon/half sponge but with a soft kiss of cheesecake flavor.
So much good food to eat! I’m jealous mostly because I’m low on desert food back at home here.
That’s a state of emergency for me!
Very creative way to make the budget work; my preference would be to spend the left over on shoes of course.
very nice, Eva!
O.O that has to be the best looking cinnamon roll I’ve ever seen. I can almost smell it. Now I need something sweet to take my mind off it; time to rummage through the kitchen.
Happy cooking, Paul!!
